We always look forward to the annual Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. This year, the honorees are Kye Fleming, Mark D. Sanders and the late Tammy Wynette. Craig Wiseman was honored as NSAI’s Songwriter of the Decade. Taylor swift was named Artist/Songwriter of the Year. Toby Keith was honored as Artist/Songwriter of the Decade. Toby certainly deserves the award, especially since he has been constantly overlooked by the CMA and other award shows. We’re happy for him.

In the “Looking for Songs” section listed, please begin doing some initial research before submitting material. Regardless of how good a song is, if it doesn’t fit the style of the artist, you’ve wasted your time, their time….. And your money. This is a very competitive business and we’re seeing opportunities disappear because of the amount of songs being received that are way far off base for a particular artist(s). As fellow publishers and writers, let’s not hurt each other’s chances of scoring.
