On The Streets of NashvilleThe estate of legendary R&B singer James Brown has finally been settled. This has been going on for years since his death. There were no details about James’ wealth but we believe it was substantial since he was doing shows until his death. The South Carolina judge approved a settlement that gives nearly half of it to his charitable trust, about a quarter to his wife and young son, and the rest to James’ adult children. We’re happy this has finally been settled. James Brown has been one of our idols for many years, ever since I first saw James Brown & The Famous Flames years ago in downtown Nashville.

According to the Tennessean newspaper’s Peter Cooper, another tabloid-friendly Hollywood type is pondering a country album. Yep, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s boyfriend, Jamie Kennedy, told www.people.com that Ms. Love is writing country music. Jamie says,”I really want to make her a new demo for her music. I think she should do singing again. She’s so good.” We eagerly await Jennifer’s attempt to do singing again and we hope she can fill the void left by Jennifer Simpson’s departure from Nashville and country music (tongue in cheek here). It appears that the Hollywood types feel like the country music industry and fan base is easy pickings. How many times does Music Row get infatuated with these glitter nymphs? It really is amusing; Hollywood wants to be Nashville and Nashville wants to be Hollywood. It has been that way forever and will continue to be. The number of failures is really high. At least it is entertaining to watch.
