There were photos of Jerry doing sessions with everybody from Arthur Alexander, Ronnie & the Daytonas, John Denver, Elvis Presley, Jerry Reed. Charlie Rich. Jerry is originally from Florence, Alabama and was an early member of Rick Hall’s Fame Studio gang in Muscle Shoals. Man, they cranked out the hits there. Naturally, there was a lot of conversation about a lot of the sessions and stars and musicians involved. After hearing all this at the Hall of Fame, I finished off the evening going to see more tapings of Legends and Lyrics. What a wonderful week. As we do our listings, have you noticed that there have been no requests to send songs on Mp3 devices? It has totally switched to CDs only. I think this is a smart move on all the producers since on CD; it is hard to accidentally delete a song like you can on an electronic device. We like to thank our new subscribers to the Parade family. We have some subscribers who have been with us continually over 20 years. We’re thankful they keep coming back.

This past week was the Country Music Hall of Fame honoring drummer Jerry Carrigan. Jerry is a longtime friend and golfing buddy. The occasion was hosted by hit writer Bill Lloyd (Foster & Lloyd of years back). Being an involved professional, Bill was able to get the good stuff pulled from Carrigan in the interview. As they talked, a slide show was going on behind Bill and Jerry.
