On The Streets of NashvilleCan you believer the out-of-the-box success John Rich is having with his new single, “Shuttin’ Detroit Down”? This past week they added 48 new stations and it isn’t stopping there. Among the hot new records is the current Rascal Flats and Dierks Bentley.

The Jamey Johnson, “High Cost of Living” is getting more action than many thought because of the borderline lyric content, but they’ve picked up 16 important stations this past week. John Rich is always involved with music “on the edge.” We like people who are innovative and aren’t afraid to take a chance. This record is a hit. Rich’s big miss was Country-rap artist, Cowboy Troy. Fans may be gullible at times but they’re not stupid.

The Dennis Linde bash Monday night was wonderful. Denny passed away a few years ago. He is the writer of Elvis’ “Burnin’ Love”, Dixie Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl” and Garth Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge”.  It was great seeing Dennis’ father-in-law Bob Beckham, writer John Scott Sherrill, BMI’s Thomas Cain, writer Bob Morrison and many, many others. We’ll have more on this in our February E-News.
