We are among many Nashvillians in the music community welcome Dave Moody and his Lamon Records staff on their move to Nashville after many successful years in the Charlotte area. It has been a move that is long overdue. Lamon Records is a well respected name in country and Christian music. They have also had some strong R&B and black gospel records in the past as well. Lamon has been a solid label since 1862. Our first contact was with the father, Dwight Moody many years ago. Dwight was always willing to share his production need with Parade and son Dave has continued the tradition. Check out the website, www.lamonrecords.com and you’ll find the reading most interesting.
Back several years ago when Euro Disney first opened outside of Paris France, the Moody Brothers (Dave, Trent and Carlton) were the main act of the park and became very popular across Europe. They had the strongest selling country album across Europe on the CBS International label. It is a prize in my collection. All three Moodys are great musicians and writers. They have also been nominated for several categories in the annual Dove Awards. |
