We are always happy to inform our readers of things to come. Puckett’s Grocery/Restaurant in nearby Franklin is kicking off a very exciting series of writer’s nights beginning September 16. There will be nine Tuesday evenings those songwriters can come in and do two original songs. The songs (not the singer) will be voted as to which is best of the evening. There will be cash prizes.

Voting will be by industry executives in attendance and audience response will be included somehow. Details are still being worked out. As soon as a website is established, we’ll notify you. Puckett’s Grocery has regular writer nights and the place is packed. It is a wonderful music venue with great food and drinks at affordable prices. Proprietor Andy Marshall is to be congratulated for becoming and important cog in the machinery of professional and amateur music of all types.
